O'Neill Is Inspirational

O'Neill Is Inspirational

Neil Lennon has described Martin O'Neill as an inspirational leader and is not surprised the Villa players were so up for the Arsenal match.

Villa produced a massive performance that rattled Arsenal, and despite todays stories let's not forget it took the idiot in the middle of the pitch for them to salvage a point.

No wonder some Arsenal fans have jumped on the actions of a minority of idiots - to ignore the point.

Speaking on the official site, Lennon, who played for O'Neill at both Leicester and Celtic, explained his reasoning:

'Boy could he get you up for a game. When he addressed the players, there was total silence.

'I'll never forget the team-talk he gave prior to us (Celtic) going out and defeating Liverpool at Anfield during our run to the UEFA Cup final. It was as inspiring as you would ever hear.'

Lennon knows that O'Neill was pivotal in his career, and he believes that given his experience of our managers, some of younger lads will become just as grateful in future years for what he helps them to achieve.

'He played a monumental role in my career and had the biggest influence on it overall.

'I've said it many times in the past that Martin was great for me and who knows how my career would have gone if I didn't have the opportunity to play under him.'

Why are you blaming the ref? The goal was scored within the 3 minutes of added time which is the normal at the end of games, moreso here after having a player booked for time wasteing it could have been more.

We all know that O'Neill is inspiring, take at look at the team this season they have been playing beyond anything we could have hoped for with that squad, I hope MON can bring in 4 or 5 quality signings and really make a push for the top4!!

Another glowing endorsement for 'the only true 'Special One'. As for the ref, he had a decent game, why this constant criticism of him? Thats just negative, looking for excuses talk.
