Bet he'd have blown the whistle if Arsenal were winning?

2 mins extra time means 2 minutes, not 4 unless there are more subs brought on or major incidents.

Disgrace.

This pratt has to do it, at least once in every game, he has to show what a clown he is to the great detriment to the game.

I hope he doesn't come near Villa Park this season and if he does, I hope he gets the reception, throughout the game he deserves.

Pathetic ref.

It's no consolation guys I know, but you deserved 3 points today. We had a few moments in the game but apart from that we were bloody awful! In the end I'm very happy we managed to steal an undeserved point against an excellent Villa side. Good luck for the rest of the season (A gooner).

Away at Chelski, Liverpool and now Arsenal equals a point at each, we really should have come away with 3 from both Arsenal & Liverpool conceded very late on both occasions add in Spurzz away and we could have been 6 points better off. We equalised late vs Chelski although we shoul never have been behind.... never mind we sare still in with a chance of 4th

I'm never a sour loser iamavillan, but for this ref (who does this sort of thing time and time again not just against Villa) to play and play and play when only 2 mins was given is a disgrace. If it was Arsenal winning and us all over them in injury time, do you think he'd have done the same?

Murph, I'm surprised at you, our lot defended like trojans all game and played their hearts out, to lose in undeserved injury time is just awful. Remember the year we were second to Man Utd? They played something like 45 minutes extra due to the extra time they were given!!!!!!!!

3 minutes was announced and shown at the stadium, then he booked someone for timewasting which I think allows him to add another 30 seconds, still ur right to be upset about not taking all 3 points. Why were the Villa fans singing distasteful songs about Eduardo tho? didnt luc Nilis retire because of a similar injury?

great display from you guys and we were dead lucky ... however.. i watched the game online and the commentator said there was 3 mins injury time, though they didnt show it at the time. where did you get that it was 2?

Yeah, Osbourne was booked for time-wasting and Harewood gave away a foul. I would guess a lot of things were said here in the heat of the moment, etc.

Like I said on the Arsenal site ive never come across a distasteful Villa fan on this network but the whole of the villa section where singing it. Wenger has commented about it on Arsenal.com

Hmm. Have to say I like them better than your lot U4L. I've never known a ManU team under SAF that wouldn't play any trick in the book to win - and I do understand about 'professionalism'. I'm thinking of stuff like R(Prawns)K stamping on people, but also all of the 'minor' niggles that constantly go on. From one end of the field to the other, United players are generally not very nice people ...

I thought that he had a decent game, apart from adding the four minutes of extra time on (where did they come from?). Otherwise he let the game flow, kept in the background, stepped in when required, but no, I have no complaints about his performance today.

We can't blame the ref for this. We had ample opportunity to play out those last few mins, but Osbourne and Harewood were both wasteful when we should have just been looking to play out time. I watched it live on StarSports, and they announced 3 mins of extra time. With Osbourne having been booked (needlessly) for kicking the ball away, then I wouldn't be surprise if the ref decided to add on another 30 secs or so. The defending at the end (in contrast to th rest of the game) was woeful. Absolutely gutted to draw (feels like a loss) in such a manner, but have to praise a colossal effort from the boys - still proud. Looking at the table though, how much better would I be feeling about European qualification without us having conceded - as well as Newcastle letting Blackburn into the mix. It's going to be a hell of a last few weeks - COME ON YOU VILLAINS!

I thought Clattenberg was one of the best referees in the Premiership last season. For some reason this season he's totally lost the plot!

This article was delivered around the same time the managers were doing their interviews, good job you're not a a manager! This guy is from the tradition of Elleray, P.Don was another, being done over by that guy really was being P.Don from a great height. One of the worst was the man who now heads the refs association, Keith Hackett, known in his day as the "Villahater" if i remember correctly he was so bad at a world cup he blagged his way into that he had to be sent home early with an armed guard to protect him from the fans!!
