Defender Could Go Back Out On Loan

Martin O'Neill says he will look to send 20-year-old defender Stephen O'Halloran back out on loan after returning - unplayed - from Southampton.

The Villa boss said on the official site:

'He had a very frustrating time at Southampton where he didn't play. Stephen is in real need of games now. He didn't play at Southampton, he's come back now and I'd certainly look at sending Stephen out on loan for 28 days.'

O'neil seems to really care about this kid. Maybe its because he is Irish. Im not sure.....a word of advice to martin though......dont send someone out on loan then complain two days later that he wasnt played. It put unfare pressure on Burley who didnt play him probably because of that reason

Strange that he didn't get a game at Southampton. What was the purpose in that I wonder? I personally dont rate him that highly, I've never been overly impressed whenever I've seen him. I must be missing something.

Hear that he's going out to Leeds United. Good luck to the lad. Hope he comes back and proves me very wrong.
