Gabby Up For Reading Return

After missing the Newcastle match and having to pull out of the England friendly because of the hamstring injury he sustained in our defeat to Fulham, Gabby is raring to go again and could well get the chance against Reading.

He returned to training earlier this week and Martin O'Neill is confident he will be available for selection.

'Gabby is fine. He did a little bit of training, the pitches were too frosty on Tuesday, but he did some training indoors. It was the first day he had joined in with us.

'Hopefully he will get a full week of training in now and then see how he is. He has been raring to go now and has been for some days, but we didn't let him join in in any of the training sessions in Malaga. It was purely precautionary.'

In other injury news, Martin Laursen has also recovered from a heel problem.

Very good news indeed. I think that we all probably feared a longer lay-off when the injury happened, but good to see him fit and raring. He's a major player for us, who will have a very important role to play between now and seasons end. Go get 'em Gabby!

Great news. I still hope Marlon & Maloney starts though. Nothing wrong with starting Gabbby on the bench.

is it me or MON has dropped a clanger selling Cahill?, everyone on this site rated him and he's improved Bolton's defence, proved last night at Madrid.

Get onto the forum and discuss it krisvilla. You'll get more responses on there than on here, a front page article about Gabby's return.

You know, Peter Whittingham's playing pretty well, maybe that was a mistake? I think Gabby should start if he's fully fit. Yes, Harewood deserves a chance, but Gabby is still one of our most exciting players, and if he's ready to play....he's had a rest and I want to see if he can rediscover his form. Harewood works brilliantly as an impact sub. I'm rambling.

No Carlosio, you're speaking sense. In my book anyway.
