Luke A Villan No Moore?

How strange, yesterday reports were suggesting that the reports linking Luke Moore with a loan move to West Bromwich Albion was nothing but speculation.

Today the official site has confirmed that the 22-year-old Villa forward is having a medical at the Hawthorns.

The loan is with a view to a permanent 3.5million deal in the summer.

The official site states that Villa hope to have a 28 day re-call clause in the contract.

Boing Boing Luke Moore.

given the chance he will score a ***** load of goals in the championship. 3.5m is good bussiness!

Good luck to him I hope he sorts his head out and shows what he can really do. This move also shows that we should never believe what we are told - in the shirt and on the pitch is all that counts. I guess the fee cuts the money owed on Curtis Davies too.

He like Stefan never met his potential. West Brom can have him.

Total waste.... he could have been great if he had gabby's work ethic

Needs to get his act sorted and get himself back on track. He'll find goals no easier to come by in The Championship than they were in The Premiership, unless his attitude is spot on. I like Luke, and wish him well, but cant help but feel that he'll come to regret very much, not being able to fulfill his promise at Villa Park.

I think this a great move, acceptable fee if Albion do sign him. The most over-rated player at Villa Park. He thought he had made it after playing a couple of games. I always supported him when he was on the pitch but glad he has gone.

The Baggies must be laughing all the way to the bank 9m for Curtis & now getting Luke for 3m The lad may not have performed of late but trhe cold shoulder from MON has not worked that is poor management as the lad has the ability but has had all motivation drained from him He has not been given the opportunities Gabby recieved

Never looks interested, and not willing to chase loose balls or close down defenders unlike our other forwards. MON bases a lot on attitude and he can't force him to try hard. No-one is guaranteed a starting place (except Petrov) and just because he was playing well before he was injured, he appears to still have the hump.

FatKev - Eveybody has there opinion, I trust MON man management skills far more than your opinion. Luke has never proved himself under MON ever and has been given the chance. He is definately not the type of player we need to move forward in to the Champions League/Uefa Cup.

Totally disagree FatKev. He's had chances and opportunities, but whereas Gabby took his, and has progressed because of it, Luke has rarely shown that he can or will improve. He's going backwards, and its a slippy downhill slope.

Well I must admit we have lost more players than I care to think about, that then have failed to make the grade. I still think his situation could have been handled better. Little words of encouragement were aimed in his direction from what I could see. Why has MON not bothered to get a loan fee, the statement "we may want to call a player back" is not going to happen. Why would we call a player back that has been sold. I still think we are naive in the transfer market & the baggies have bent us over the barrel twice now 06/07 8 games 4 goals is not that bad, look at all the chances Petrov Had. Are we that desperate for the money we give away tallent. We have not set the tranfer market alight despite all the talk. Will this summer be any differnent

You can't get a fee for a returnable loan deal fatkev and again it's your slightly dodgy opinion that mon is naive. I think it is indeed you sir who is slightly short sighted. Why would we want him back when he's already sold? Cos the flippin transfer market is shut and we have no other way of backup should we lose gabby/carew or god forbid both. I think it's extremely sensible. We got a good defender at an inflated price and sold a waste of space who wasn't cutting it for 3.5m and that's bending us over backwards?

I did not think Cahill was 3a waste of space who has made way for Curtis or Even Ridgewell who always gave his best. Why returnable? If he is not motivated now wht would he want to bail out a team that cast him to one side. what if he got injured whilst playing for us. He will never be recalled we should get everything we can off the baggies to recoupe the 9m on curtis. Who else would pay 9m 3-5 maybe

Ridgewell may have tried his best but he wasn't good enough. He has been Blues best player this year because they are s***. 5m for Cahill was decent business although I would have liked to have seen him given more of a chance. He wanted first team football and you can't blame him for that, so have to accept that he is going to leave. Agree Davies isn't worth 9m But he does look a good player and will only get better playing besides Laursen. he has already moved on leaps and bounds this season. I believe after next season we will be saying that 9m was good business.
