No Moore For Baggies

No Moore For Baggies

West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Mowbray has blasted rumours that he is about to sign Villa striker Luke Moore on loan with a view to a £3.5million permanent move in the summer.

He told the Birmingham Post:

'The Luke Moore thing is purely speculation and he will not have any impact on the players at the club now. We have got Ishmael Miller, Kevin Phillips, Roman Bednar and Craig Beattie and we have scored more goals than anyone else in the country this season. We are happy enough with our goalscorers, but they have to keep that competition going among themselves.'

So there you go, no move for Luke Moore.

Oh and the 'lets just make it up' network Fansfc have an article saying Villa will bid around £10million for Darren Bent who moved from Charlton to Spurs in the summer for around £16million.

What is it with these sites and their insistence that we are going to buy a Spurs striker? First it was Robbie Keane, then Jermain Defoe, now it is Bent!

Shame that, £3.5 million for a lazy-arsed striker would have been good money imo.

Luke is well and truly in limbo. Maybe the rumoured loan deal to Stoke City might give him an escape route, albeit only temporarily, out of Villa Park. Certainly looks as though he no longer features in MON's long term plans.
