I have to hold my hands up and say I was one of those berrating him as low quality when we signed him. I thought the man was just not what we should be looking for, and then the Tottenham disappointment just compounded that for me. Everyone makes mistakes though, and he's definitely come good as a valuable squad member over the last few outings. Clearly a pretty decent player with talent there, but as a few people have mentioned - he really deserves most credit for his attitude and commitment. Well done Marlon, and well done MON too for seeing the player in there and having faith in his ability to drag it back out. Right, now can I have some cream on my humble pie please?

Agreed, well deserved praise.
I would also give the same praise to Zat Knight - has performed well when needed (except a couple of isolated lapses) and has kept his head down and trained hard when he hasn't been in the team

I want to thank him for his dribble on 87 minutes against the toon where he started slowly then burst past 3 toons and just about scored after a little give and go with Carew. Keep it coming, Marlon.
