Hokey Cokey Backs Routledge

Nigel Hokey Cokey believes Wayne Routledge will settle right in to the dressing room as it's so easy going!

It's not the first time Hokey Cokey has talked about the dressing room spirit on the official site, and although it was a disappointing window, he believes Routledge will be a fantastic addition to the squad.

'Wayne is a great addition to the squad. He's an out and out winger. He can play right or left but prefers the right side.

'He is pacy, very skilful and tremendously direct.

'He will fit in perfectly - anyone would. He will slot in, it's an easy going dressing room.

'It's a family dressing room - and we're all striving for the same goals.

'Overall, it is very exciting times at the moment and ahead too. We have had a great past few months. We're in a strong position in the table - it's where we want to be.

'The team spirit is tremendous. The morale is superb. We have had that since the start of the season.

'We have a superb attitude - a winning mentality. We never know when we're beaten.

'We have come back in several games throughout the season and that has bred confidence in the team. It's the same with the substitutes too, not just in the starting XI.

'We have a mix of personalities. We've got very quiet dressing room but we also have those outspoken characters too. That's perfect.'

I think Hokey would be one of those outspoken ones, it's just an inkling.

If Wayne can do the Soulja Boy he'll fit in no problem at all!

I just had to remind myself of Nigel's real surname. I just see him as Nigel Hokey Cokey now.

Yes, it is wearing a little thin now. It wasn't funny the first time.
weller77
Funny he has become associated with 2 crap wedding disco dance songs since signing for Villa. The Hokey Cokey and The Conga. Do do do Nigel Reo-Coker...

Ye I sometimes find myself saying Hokey Cokey to people when I'm talking about him, most of them don't know who I mean. Have we ever done the hokey cokey at a match? Might be a good thing to keep in mind just incase he ever scores and we need a song for him.

I hope he is a diamond on the right hand side bringing that extra attacking pace to support Gabby. Routledge on the overlap has a nice ring to it.

Didn't know he could play left at a pinch. Could get him and Ashley switching in the middle of games and catching people out. ManU and Arsenal have used this in the past to great effect.

Let's hope he becomes another "Ronaldo".

personally I'm sick of the ramblings of NRC , it's about time the useless twonk did his talking on the pitch with his feet and kept his mouth firmly closed !

I'm pretty optimistic about this signing. Obviously he'll need to get up to speed having played so little football of late, but I think we could just have conducted a clever piece of business here. I'm looking forward to seeing him break into the fold, he could be just what we've been looking for.

NRC does have a lot to say about a lot of things 57. Guess he's got his eyes on Gareth's captaincy, should this Chelsea interest prove to be founded.
