villavillavilla
Davies is the shock one, but he is really rather good, he will only get better, great signing for Villa
krisvilla
Since when did Ledley King play for Reading??

That picture of Capello looks like how MON will look in 10 years time...

Surely that is a signal to any young English footballer (Defoe possibly!) looking for a new team that Villa Park is the place to be if you want International football. Come on MON. Strike!

Mixed feelings over the inclusion of 5 villa players. More chance of one of them picking up an injury VS the experience they'll gain from international duty. Delighted for Gabby tho, he deserves his place in the squad!
whyvilla
could he be the first ever pub player to play for england??
villabikes29
5, that is something.
storagematt
yeah but whyvilla some of them would have been playin for the u21's otherwise

I think it's great that you can get 5 into the squad. How much of this do you think is down to MON? It's looking go for you guys at the moment.

The players have to take credit for knuckling down and dowing the business on the field, the manager has to take credit for putting the players in a position to acheive it. I doubt all five will feature in the final squad or for that matter in the starting line up. But it still gives a warm glow knowing the club has turned full circle from where O'Neill started to where it is now.

Always great to see Villa players picked for England but is this necessarily a good thing? It's more games for our boys when they really good do with a rest.

How times change. Five minutes ago we'd have been laughed at for suggesting that one Villan was worthy of an England call-up.
