January Transfer Window Thread Pt2

January Transfer Window Thread Pt2

Oh dear. The second part of our transfer gossip thread, only 14 days to go and no arrivals to date!

We are being hotly linked with Jermain Defoe, apart from that there seems little in the form of gossip or expectation of imminent signings. There also seems to be talk of Gary Cahill being given permission to listen to the offer on the table from the Blues. Surely not? :o(

For part one I said:

'Ok, here we go, I've resisted temptation up until now, but what the heck. Lets get all the transfer rumours, links, wishes and gossip going again in our January Transfer window thread. During the summer we had a thread that ended up running to ten parts with nearly 4000 comments, most of them on the frustrations, lets hope this January Transfer thread will be all positive and full of arrivals.'

Lets hope that still remains the case, after all, the window doesn't shut until midnight January 31st and who can forget our last minute business in the summer when on the stroke of 12 midnight we clinched the signing of Moustapha Work Permit..... ahem, cough cough!

He turned down MiddleVilla offer due to them being in the NE of England, this is a fact, and the fact that he wanted to stay close to London. Plus MiddleVilla are she ite

Sorry to miss out on Diarra and Matt Taylor. Really hope Defoe comes. Any chance of James Milner or David Bentley?

I'd love to see Milner back at VP. I guess everyone up there will want to stay to see how KK gets on. Cahill to Blues, even on loan, is not good. I don't have a problem with him going out on loan but to Blues!!?? I can't see that they are going to be welcoming him with open arms after 'That Goal'.

Defoe deal is done with just his signing on fee to be sorted as he has not asked to leave. £8M up front with add ons. L Moore to leave for £3M with Derby now interested. Villa have Doyle in the background should the Defoe deal stall.
