'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Ozzie Goes To Leicester

There were a number of rumours linking Osbourne to a loan move to Leicester and now the deal has been done and dusted, all that remains is for him to recover sufficient fitness and he'll be off for a month.

The Foxes manager, Ian Holloway, is hopeful that Osbourne can make his loan debut this Saturday in their game against Norwich, which is most likely going to happen.

Speaking to IC Brum, Martin O'Neill said of the move:

'Leicester have asked about him going on loan. I said 'yes' and had he been fit he might have gone last week. First of all, before he does anything, he has to get fit.

'I have said in general terms that now we are out of the FA Cup and the games are down to one a week, in many aspects it might be good for him to get a couple of games.

'You are always torn between boys going out on loan and then picking up some injuries.

'It is a balancing act the whole time but Isaiah would only go for a month, and maybe get some games he needs in the time he's away from us.'

Osbourne would definitely benefit from a run of matches and it's certainly in our best interests to let him go at this stage I think.

some rumours are just that and others become fact so you lose another player then just buy a replacement if you need to or enjoy the fact he's gone and you never rated him anyway

saints have just signed O'Halloran, can anyone from Villa comment on the guys abilty
Jesus_02
I had/have high hopes for Osbourne. He's not looked quite up to speed the few times he's made it in to the first team this season. This is probably exactly what he needs.

Jesus_02 - I've never personally seen O'Halloran play but I know we have high hopes for him.

In my personal opinion Jesus_02, having seen O'Halloran at youth, reserve, and first team levels (albeit only a pre-season tour friendly), I cant honestly say that he's ever impressed me. Maybe at Championship level he might have a future, but as a premiership full back, I dont think so. I can understand why Isiah has gone out on loan, but aren't we playing with fire a little bit here? We surely wont be as lucky on the injury front from here until May, as we have been up until now?

In my opinion Jesus_02 hes the new Viera without the touch, skill and passing ability.........he will be okay in championship though.lol.

I think that Jesus_02 meant O'Halloran bellywipes, surely you're referring to Isiah? Isiah might be o.k., I certainly rate him a better prospect than O'Halloran. Beeing fair though, both are relatively young, so who knows?
