Poll Results - Collymore Was Right!

Vital Villa asked if Stan Collymore was right, should we snap up Jermain Defoe from Spurs?

77% voted 'yes, get him now'.

11% said possibly but there are better and a further 11% said no.

That left 1% who were unsure.

Our latest poll has been suggested by villavillavilla asking how you are feeling, which is really nice of him. Oh hang on, he's asking how you are feeling about the transfer window!

On the new poll there is no option for "just want to moan regardless" for AVFC48.

quite surprised at the new polls results. Alot of people seem "Very confident" I remember the last time I was very confident. We bought harewood. Not trying to stamp out all optimism or anything

Yeah, and i remember everyone complaining about the fact that we had a pants summer transfer-wise then constantly praising the team for the months between then and now. I have a sneaking suspicion someone knows what they're doing. I picked not happy but ok, we need signings, but i think we'll get people in, so i'm not going to worry until it's the 1st of feb.

MON seems to have created mystery about the whole thing though. He never says anything that you can read into, everything he says about transfers is the same in diffrent words and fair enough he doesn't want anyone to know his business and its probably the best way to go about it. Still for all we know he could be sitting on his arse, eating balti pies and laughing at us lot for thinking he's even trying. Probably not doing that but still. I'm frustrated.

That would be an audacious way to manage a club (or country for that matter). Still, better than having any tax controversy, eh?

I think that even the media guys normally close to MON are currently completely in the dark as to his January transfer plans, hence the multitude of rumours. We need to add quality, no doubting that, but if MON's targets are not out there, then I guess we are all going to be mightily disappointed.

As for the Collymore endorsement for Jermaine Defoe. see, I knew it, Stanley Victor isn't completely stupid.
