Villa Fans To Choose Giant Flag
There is a new survey being posted on Voice in the Crowd, the clubs online market research tool.
Dan Meredith, Marketing Executive, said: 'A number of requests have been received from supporters expressing how much they would like a giant supporter flag at Villa Park for each home game. As a result, the Club has agreed to fund the production of a flag and would like to give you, the fans the opportunity to choose the design that will be unfurled and passed above supporters heads. All designs have been created in consultation with a small group of supporters.'

No4 is horrible I think i could of done a better job myself with PAINT---------Anyway moving on i really liked 1-2 but three adds too much detail i think, but then it makes number 1 look too plain... So i'll go with number 2 :)

Option 3 for me oozes class - It also serves as good reminder, to the players and fans, just how successful we have been! I think it sends a positive message to all associated with the club what we are attempting to achive (without living in the past!). Anyway, why stop here... I can remember when I was a nipper in the late 80s that flags used to be passed over fans regularly when Villa used to play home and away. Big or small, get your flags out - there is no better site than a full VP a-wash in claret and blue!

If anyone chooses number four, i will personally ensure that they get very shot. I appreciate our history as much as any other villa fan, but my problem with 3 is that other fans don't necessarily, and it'll be all we ever here about in my opinion. Option 1 for me, has that mac look about the background too hehe

I like 3 - why not remind people that we have a great history? If I was pushed though, number 1 oozes class. 2 Is too much, and I am not even going to mention the other one!!!

Unless it's my computer, no.1 looks like it's printed on the back of an envelope. Obviously a lot of thought and planning went into that one then! No. 2 all the way for me.

I like 3 but when we win the Champions League again it will become obsolete!! Because of this I say 1.

Number 2 because it will show up on television much better than the other designs. 1 is nice but on the TV the massive amount of claret will disappear. 3 is too arrogant. 4 reminds me of a massive Lion Bar.

How about using number 4 with a picture of Paul McGrath replacing the lion.... :) what's that wooden shield thing next to the League Cup????? Don't like the numbers on number 3 - tacky. Personal favorite is Number 1 - simple and classy.

Saying that i was at Leinster v Toulouse game at the weekend and they did the giant flag round the stands but it needed about 8 people running round holding up the edges, there aint the room to do that in the villa stands. What was much better was Leinsters mascot Leo the lion walking through the stands beating a drum to leinster leinster leinster.

Got to be no.2 for me. no.1 is too plain no.3 (as said previously) is old news. OK great history and all that but we've got to be looking to the future. Once we start winning the League and European cup again fair enough this option would be good. As for no.4 - no comment needed. Except for it looks like one of them cheap T-shirts you buy outside of the ground at 3 for a fiver.

Still not convinced about the latest crest even after time (new poll possiby) and would prefer a flag with all our crests on it to show our history rather than outlines of cups.

gmvillan I am sure that wooden thingy is the European Super Cup. I remeber after the Barcalona game being really disappointed when the players ran up to the Holte with this tiny trophy you could barely see.

I like number 2 and 3. Although number 3 looks like a lot of the flags that you might see at Anfield. Number 4 is woeful. If this is put on the Holte i am changing my seat.

I vaguely remember a huge club flag being passed around the Holte lower before a UEFA Cup tie a few years back. Why did that only make a one-off appearance I wonder?
