Two Villans In Actim Team Of Week

John Carew sealed his place in the team of the week in The Actim Index, the official player ratings system of the Barclays Premier League, following his display in Aston Villa’s win over Reading.

The Norway international netted twice in the 3-1 victory at Villa Park to take his tally to six for the season. His 54-point haul was also his best score of the campaign. Carew moved up 69 places to 123rd with 171 points and boosted his home Index score to 85 as a result.

Villa team-mate Martin Laursen was also in the team of the week after he registered 31 points against the Royals to move six places to 11th with 335 points. The Danish defender is the second highest ranked player at the club this season according to the Index, with Gabriel Agbonlahor currently occupying top spot.

Analysis of all Premiership games is taking place throughout the season and the players in the Actim Index Team of the Week are:

The overall stats make very goo reading - 6th best goalkeeper, 3rd best defender, 6th best midfielder and 4th best striker. Only ManU and Arsenal can claim this strength throughout the team.
