Henrik Larsson Loan Rumour Quashed

Henrik Larsson Loan Rumour Quashed

Helsingborgs have quashed rumours that Henrik Larsson could be allowed to do a similar loan move that saw him go to Manchester United last season.

The rumour mill have linked the former Swedish international striker to Celtic and Aston Villa.

Helsingborgs chairman Sten-Inge Fredin told Setanta there was 'Not a chance.' Adding, 'Henke has not spoken of any club and no-one has contacted us so this is not news. We will continue to train for the Uefa Cup so nothing will happen.'

Our latest poll was asking what you think of the link, so I'll have to think of another one now and pull that. Was a good idea though!

Not that I think that there was ever anything in it, but with all due respect to Larsson, he wasn't the route we should be taking anyway.

This only says they have not been contacted! Apparently he has a clause in his contract saying he can go on loan during the close-season which is now. Whether we want him or he wants to come is a different matter of course.

The brief poll about a potential Henrik Larsson loan before I spotted their chairman saying no chance had a split between 'no, we should be buying a top quality striker' (51%) and yes 47% + 2% unsure.
