Strange Man-of--match Poll Results!

Strange Man-of--match Poll Results!

Vital Villa asked for your man-of-the-match votes for Villa 3-1 Reading.

It ended up a bit of a daft set of results in truth!

John Carew got 41% of the votes for his brace, nothing unusual there but next up came Moustapha Salifou with 22% for his 1 minute sub appearance! I must have a word with co-ed Vital Villa not to put the subs on unless they play at least 20-30 mins! DOH!!!

Then came defensive rock and goalscorer Martin Laursen with 14%

The rest:

Young (7%)
Carson (6%)
Davies (2%)
Barry (2%)
Petrov (2%)
Hokey Cokey (1%)
Gardner (1%)
Harewood (1%)
Agbonlahor (1%)
Maloney (0%)
Bouma (0%)

Our latest poll asks if you like the link to Villa loaning Henrik Larsson.

Garth Crooks had Gabby in his Team of The Week and not John Carew. What a tit.

I know, Garth Crooks is a giant tit. I think the Larsson one is simple...he's playing for Helsinborg's, according to SkySports, he just signed a new contract, ending all speculation. Added to that, he's too old to do anything for us. He couldn't really do anything of any good at Utd, in that team. We don't need him in out team, MON knows that.

Larsson is class, our youngsters could learn tone from him, the issue would be around giving him playing time and not hosing off Carew, Gabby & Harewwod.

I think the funny poll result was simply due to the fact that many Villa supporters would like to see more of Salifou in our colours. There have been rave reports about his performances in the reserves, even on the official site, so lets see what he can do for real. It could be interesting.

Big JC put in another fine display. Best target man we've seen at B6 since the halcyon days of Peter Withe. At least he's now silenced the murmurs of discontent that we're starting to air from the quick to knocks.

Maybe Salifou was Reading's man-of-the-match for allowing them to score

Obediah are Villa a side looking to qualify as Champions (have we got that high an expectation yet), or one looking to experiment with untried players who were last seen playing in a second rate lower league club?

I keep repeating glensider the man's a Legend, in the eyes of some. Besides I thought according to you we don't play with a target man????
