Henrik Larsson Discussing His Future
Apparently Henrik Larsson is being linked to all and sundry these days as he looks at his future options. Last season Martin O'Neill was linked to the former Celtic legend, only for him to end up at Manchester United. The other day on Talksport a caller suggested that link would become reality this season. However there have also been links suggesting he will be going back to Celtic.
Henrik said on his Icons.com site:
'I arrived home on Thursday from a holiday in South Africa to discover there have been all sorts of rumours about where I'm going next and there have even been 'sightings' of me in Glasgow!
'Well, it's all very flattering that people care and if they want you to come to their team that is really nice. I'm glad that I'm wanted anywhere and I appreciate people's interest. But the honest fact is that I still haven't made any decision about what I'm going to do.
'I'm going to have a chat with the board here at Helsingborg this weekend about a few things and then I'll take my time and decide what I'm going to do. There are a few things that I need to discuss at Helsingborg.'

The current speculation is that he is talking to Helsingborg about a possible coaching role. It's also worth noting that he can't play for another club in the UEFA Cup this season as he has already played, and Helsingborg are still in the tournament, but he could play in the Champions League as clubs can register one player from the other European tournament in January. So if he wanted one more chance of CL football, he could get that.

Was he that big a hit at Old Trafford? Certainly goal-scoring wise I think not, and is he really the way to go? Lets buy Defoe, and then go with what we've got. I'm anti-loan deals anyway, but to me in this instance such a venture would be very short sighted.

I don't think larsson will go to villa but if he did you would be very lucky to get him. MON knows how good he is despite being past his prime but he would still walk into the Villa team easily & many others. The guy is 36 but still the top scorer in UEFA cup. You should pray he bothers to leave his homeland for another short stint in EPL.

Sorry LARSSON*7*CFC. Admittedly a top act in his prime (and past it!!), but to me he is not the way to go at this moment in time. I'm more than happy with Big JC. We need to be building on what we have, not taking short term options.
