Villa v Blackburn Moved - Superb

Villa v Blackburn Moved - Superb

So good to see common sense between two clubs.

Villa and Blackburn Rovers have agreed to move their game at Villa Park to Saturday 26 January with a 3pm kick off.

Originally it was set for Wednesday 30 Jan but with both teams no longer in the FA Cup, they have agreed to switch it to the more traditional Saturday date.

Well done to both clubs for this, so nice to see common sense prevailing and the fans being considered.

Superb, i actually suggested this to the general last saturday after the man u game, but his response was not too encouraging! However this will surely mean 5-10k extra on the gate, well done to the board and whoever is responsibe for this.

At long last, a fixture change that takes into consideration the regular loyal supporter...of both clubs!! It makes sense all round, and both teams are to be applauded.

Makes you really stand back when both clubs have so obviously listened to the fans, as you say, should put a few thousand extra on the gate as well.

Both our board and blackburn's appear to be listening to the fans more than most. This is just another example of clubs remembering their lifeblood. Mr Fear is right, it does make you stand back and appreciate the moment.

More grief from the missus for spending my weekends at Villa Park. Oh well. She'll live.

Outrageous decision. I want football on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. I do not mind Bank Holidays or even Christmas Day. 11.30 on a Sunday morning .... no problem. Midnight on New Years Eve ...... bring it on. But 3pm on a Saturday?????? Do the clubs never think about the fans and the sacrifices we have to make????

Should certainly increase the Blackburn traveling support, from 100 to 105.
