Take The Gloves Off You Numpties!
As you know, we at Vital Villa like to really discuss the nitty gritty, the sort of subjects that others dare not approach, you know really get beneath the surface and take risks bringing discussions on all the controversial and some say dangerous issues involved in the sport.
With that in mind, (oh, and if you don't realise this is all tongue in cheek, please sod off elsewhere and leave me to my madness), we asked, in a poll suggested by Graydon:
What do think of professional footballers wearing gloves ?
Not bothered either way. (54%)
Wimps! (33%)
Terrible - what would Andy Lochead think ? (10%)
Fashion accessory fair enough ! (3%)
Next up, are players shorts too long.... or maybe not! ;-)

Should have a poll on that stupid "A" sign goal celebration, its really annoying, whatever happened to the simple shearer arm up celebration?

Cant see why the wearing of gloves should even be discussed. If the players are happier wearing them, let 'em wear them.

Come on glensider, it is a crucial topic.....get with it man!!!! Would like to know what the A sign means, I am with you kris, like the shearer simple celebration. That said, Lee Sharpe used to do some great celebrations until the refs had to start giving yellow cards for anything remotely near entertainment or happiness in footie.
The Fear
I like the one that they get booked for taking their tops off is they score a goal and then at the end of the match some players take thier tops off on the pitch , so what s the point of the booking I ask you?

I chose not to vote in this poll. However what does annoy me (well maybe annoy is a little strong - perhaps I should say confuse) is when players (eg John Carew) wear gloves with short sleeve shirts. Now that is just stupid. Oh and yes the "A" celebration is a bit daft. I think Bramble started it against us and then maybe Curtis did it to take the *****. Bramble then did it agin against someone one else. Better than Tevez dummy. I still can't believe he kept it in his sweaty shorts throughout the match and then put it in his mouth. G.R.OSS!!

its a good inititative but i fear that its just band wagon jumping! for many of the other players

I guess we can really start complaining when they revive the Charlie Athersmith umbrella thing of many years gone by. That still takes some believing.
