Has Tom Hanks Signed For Villa?

I'm not sure why all of a sudden this is such big news, as it is a story that is over a year old in fairness!

However, everyone is getting excited agian because Tom Hanks has once again said he supports Aston Villa (something that was mentioned over a year ago on this very site!!!)

The Hollywood superstar spoke with Liaison and Welfare Officer Lorna McClelland at his new film, Charlie Wilson's War.

Lorna told the official site: 'I was absolutely delighted to meet up with Tom and he seemed genuinely delighted when I told him I worked at Aston Villa FC. He told me he was a supporter of the club and when I offered him the chance to come to one of our home games, he said he'd absolutely love to when he next gets a chance. He also commented about how well the lads were doing in the Premier League at the moment.'

Tom was pictured wearing a Proud History - Bright Future Villa scarf.

Hanks stunned the watching world when he arrived in London draped in Villa's 'Proud History, Bright Future' scarf.

He told BRMB reporter, Jodie Ross. 'Years ago, I saw the name Aston Villa float by on my TV screen and liked the name. In the life of every football fan, there comes a time when you have to declare your allegiance.'

Hopefully next time the official site gives us a *Webflash* it will be about a star name SIGNING for Villa?!

I quite liked Hanks in Road to Perdition, and he was ok in Saving Ryan's Privates, but all his other films are toss really. Except BIG. That was kinda funny. at least when you're 8.
The Usual Suspect

Jon.H
I wonder if the team found out about Floella Benjamin and that's why we are good when we PlayAway (Groan.. sorry!!!!!!)

Celebrity 'fans' my rear end. 95% of them couldn't name half a dozen first team players, let alone admit to ever having been to Villa Park in years, if indeed ever.
