'If It's Football, It's Vital'

MON Is Villa's Renaissance Man

I'm sure the official site were simply hoping to have some 'nice' stories considering our loss to Man U yesterday, but this one seems badly timed due to the content.

Yesterday, for a variety of reasons, the crowd can be considered less than adequate and NRC talks about looking forward to full houses for every home match based on MON's popularity.

'Villa have taken off this season and the fans have been fantastic.

'They have come back in their droves because of Martin O'Neill and now we look forward to every home game because it is going to be a sell out and the atmosphere will be electric.'

Reo-Coker also says that O'Neill is very complex, intelligent, and although a strange comment about players leaving (especially in January when we want players to join) he does say the dressing room is fine.

'He is a very complex man and a very intelligent man and at times you have to step back to get a better view of what he is doing.

'His philosophy has always been to build a side. Sometimes it is difficult to keep players together when they are shining and a bigger club comes in with an offer.

'But it is down to the player's discretion whether he feels like moving or to stay at the club.

'Here at Villa we have great team spirit. There are no bad apples or bad eggs so to speak. Everyone gets on well together.

'There is no negativity. It is a quiet dressing room but it is a hard working dressing room.'

So who has made an offer and for who then?

at least the grocery buyer is on top form, gets fresh apples and eggs. No mentions of the status of the milk or veg though.
The Fear
We cant let the month pass us by without incoming activity, and hopefully we are well primed to move into the market now. I dread that we allow a season of promise to merely fade away, because once again we have not used a transfer window to full effect. NRC and the rest of the dressing room are obviously well aware of the need for additional proven premiership quality. Come on MON, dont stand still. That was our big undoing under the previous regime. Plenty of promise, no substance.
