Majority Say Sign Carson Now!

Majority Say Sign Carson Now!

Vital Villa asked in our last poll:

What do you think of Scott Carson so far?

Seems 58% think a great deal of him as they said that the club should sign him up right now!

29% disagreed saying he isn't good enough for the rumoured £10million price tag. I would assume that price tag wouldn't be a straight fee though, surely it would be £x amount and then more when he earns so many England call ups etc etc?

7% said the jury was still out.

3% argued he is no more commanding than Thomas Sorensen, where the argument against Sorensen being a top keeper is he doesn't command his box enough.

That left 3% saying he has been ok.

Our latest poll asks if Gary Cahill will leave and for once the stupid questions weren't done by me! Oh well, at least we can now see I'm not the only editor with a poor sense of humour! ;-p

It's a no-brainer! Sign him up before others get interested in him, and his price rockets even higher. Just a quick question from a Boro fan to any Villa fan: How good is Milan Baros? Worth bringing in on loan? Will he solve our goalscoring drought?

I think it would be a much clearer result if the question was do we want him to leave, rather than do we think he will leave. Personally, I will be gutted to see him leave.

Fans were split on Baros Boro 01. I liked him and wished he was still here as I think he'd be our top scorer now we have good service from Ashley Young. He was caught off side a lot BUT that was more down to him making the runs and the midfield not picking up on it in my opinion. He wasn't the finished product and was a bit of a rough diamond. I'd take him back any day as I think he could become real quality. I know some of the Liverpool fans were also sorry to see him go. Did have the reputation of being a bit of a sulker though.

Baros had the ability to be a top finisher. Like many top footballers who never quite make it to the top of their potential, it comes down to attitude. His sucked, displayed mostly once his move had completed to lyon. If he could adapt his game to lift his head once in a while, slow his game down slightly he could be a really composed, dangerous player.

Don't sign Carson! I want him to stay with us! About Baros, I was sorry to see him go cos he always looked lively-ish and as Fear said, he got into good positions.

Baros had a mental problem, same as Luke. Lacks the desire to work at his game for his club. Baros was a different class for his country.

I disagree with some of the positive comments on Baros' ability...i don't think he had any. He was pacey, but had no ball control, he could never get it out of his feet in time and he constantly tried to go past defenders by running straight into them. He was a football idiot. So many times i wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt until i just couldnt do it any more...he missed chances all over the place and was generally weak. Solve Boro's goal problems he certainly won't!

Good keeper, but; 10 MILLION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yeah right. 10 Million, thats a very decent striker, reckon you'd get Defoe for that

I think he'd (Baros) be a great addition to our weak strikeforce though. And like we've discussed on the Boro site, a loan spell from January to the Summer is probably the best option for us

Yes, lets sign up Scotty Carson on a permanent deal. We need a keeper, and while he's still far from the finished product, he has the makings of a very good keeper. Milan Baros, I'd have him back here in a heartbeat, feeding off the service that Ashley Young and co can provide, I believe he'd do just fine.
