Right-Back Target Rules Out Move?

Reports today claim that Porto right-back Jose Bosingwa, who has been linked to a £7million move to Villa about 3652 times in the last year, isn't looking to move to Villa or anywhere else in England. Can't say I blame him, it is a bit chilly!

He told skysports.com: 'Nothing has changed. My head is in Porto and I don't know anything about these stories apart from the rumours in the papers. My objective is to help the club win the Liga, to do well in the UEFA Champions League and to earn a place in the Portugal squad for Euro 2008.'

Sky also claim that Porto would be wanting more than £7million if he was transferred as they see that the value of an 'inferior' player.

Who else is out there as right-back then?!

I have noticed we are being linked with Miguel of Valencia who is gaging to move to England, and Nelson of Benfica.
Stig
Is Miguel a right back as well then?
The Fear
ye but I doubt he would come to us. People seem to be going on as if we're the club to be at. Surely we should at least settle ourselfs before we start thinking Champions league players want to play for us
PTP
What, are we going to re-sign Fernando Nelson? :oP

Not overly surprised that the Jose Bosingwa story has proved to be without foundation, I was always extremely skeptical from day one.

Miguel of Valencia would a dream signing for right back but way out of our league and would cost over 10 mil I would imagine.

lassana diarra wants outta arsenal already due to not getting a regular game.if memory serves me correctly we were meant to be very close to signing him before arsenal came in late and took him off us in last transfer window. he is pure quality, he can play anywhere down the right and centre midfield and impresses me every time i watch him,got everything the lad. Despite the fact that we do need a specialist right full back, and I think we all agree on that one, I think its fair to say that Olof has done a fine job for us in that role, this season to date. The guy certainly hasn't let us down.
