Thomas Sorensen has lost interest in Villa.
That said, it looks like Villa lost interest in Sorensen a good while back as he is now 3rd in line for the place between the sticks.
The Denmark goalkeeper said he wouldn't sign even if he was offered a new deal. No sweat there Thommo, no new contract is set to be offered I'd presume!
'I am simply not interested anymore. They have shown that they have no interest whatsoever to invest in me. Even if O'Neill personally offered me a new contract tomorrow I wouldn't sign it. Martin O'Neill decided to recruit a new goalkeeper when I was injured. He then told me during a meeting that I shouldn't take my spot for granted. The press exaggerated what had been said and that upset him. But I can't believe that that would be a reason to punish me this way'.
'At this point I am open to all suggestions. If somebody shows me a contract, I will sign it, no matter what the offer is. But at the same time, I don't want to play temporarily for some Japanese club either.'
That last line is a bit baffling. I'd sign anything on offer. And yet he won't sign for Villa and he has ruled out Japan. Does that not suggest he won't sign anything no matter what is offered?! I might get down to Bodymoor Heath tomorrow, put a contract in front of him and see if I can get him to sign it. He can be a journo on this site, he always seems to have a lot to say!
Must admit I don't think he is as bad a keeper as some Villa fans seem to say, so surely a decent enough offer will come his way?

Maybe send him back to an under-18 team who might be able to teach him a little bit about attitude. Is he honestly the only person this side of b'ham who can't figure out why he's been dropped?

The way he has been frozen out is ridiculous,he's miles better than Taylor and I think should be starting.

A better keeper than a lot of us care to admit. I've had no complaints about Thomas during his Villa Park days, believing that he's saved us on considerably more occasions than he ever let us down. Personally I dont think that there's too many better keepers than TS operating in the premiership right now. Yes, he's dropped the odd clanger or three, but show me a keeper out there who hasn't.

Glen i hate to keep disagreeing with you all the time but it's becoming a habit.
Sorro isn't better than Carson, Sorro was very unpredictable, he would have a very ***** game then have a world class game, and everyone would forget about that ***** game, Also i don't go on actim stats really, but when they judge a goal keeper he isnt even in the top 15 in the prem, that should tell you something.
Also if you didn't notice we won against Brum surely Sorro would of buggered that up some how.

I can overlook whether or not I think he's a good/bad/indifferent 'keeper, but the fact remains that he's spoken ill of the club that's paying his wages - OUR beloved club - and that's enough for me. Bye bye Thomas, try not to let the door hit you on the arse on the way out.

Dont worry about disagreeing with me Villa 4 Ever. I'm glad you do. It gets us all talking and discussing. Its all about opinions, thats what this excellent site is all about. We're all Villans, and if we cant disagree in peace, then we are a sad lot.
