Team Line Up, 72% Win & Busted Nose!

Looks like confidence is high as 72% of the Vital Villa fans have predicted a win against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light today.

That left 17% predicting a draw and 11% a loss.

The Villa team lines up as:
Carson, Mellberg, Bouma, Laursen, Knight, Reo-Coker, Barry, Gardner, Young, Agbonlahor, Carew.
Subs: Taylor, Osbourne, Berger, Maloney, Harewood.

Curtis Davies was, according to the official site due to be on the bench again today, not as some have suggested starting in place of Zat Knight, but he broke his nose in training yesterday and wasn't able to travel up t'north with the rest of the squad. Do you ever get the feeling the luck is against the young defender?

COME ON YOU VILLA BOYS.

Lively start by the sounds of it. Got to get the 3 points today, tough fixtures coming up !
The Fear
Villa 1-0 down, Higginbotham scored from a corner. Sounds like he was unmarked and Carson didn't come out to collect, just stayed on his line.
The Fear
But Carson usually commands his area so well...cough...

(1st half that is) Wouldn't like to be a Villa player at half time, MON will be giving them a right rollicking!
The Fear
Shaun Maloney, peach of a free kick by the sounds of it. Villa 70% for much of the second half, currently 60/40 possession
The Fear
Gordon Bennett!! Looks like Steve Bennett has saved us! We've got to improve - luckly the rot has been stopped...
bazzah
Please MoN drop Knight for God sake.
Pking
Actually he didn't play too badly Pking, but the way Curtis Davies' luck is going since joining the club, it looks as if Zat will be keeping his starting place for a while yet. Strange though, in that talk in the pub pre-game amongst a group of about twelve or so of us Villans, centred around Davies replacing Knight in the starting line up yesterday.
