Villa Youth Beat Crewe 3-1

Villa Youth Beat Crewe 3-1

Pongo posted on the Vital Villa forum last night:

Full Time 3-1 to Villa. Away at Colchester United in the 4th Round (last 32) and I am sure I have beat the OS with that information!

After the match Tony McAndrew told avfc.co.uk

'We were first class. We showed some real character and played some really good football. We've got a good set of lads and they didn't let the early set-back worry them and carried on playing the right way.'

And on the trip to Colchester's Layer Road in the 4th round he added,

'Colchester in the next round will be a tough game. I watched their last round game against Rushden and Diamonds. They are a strong, powerful and quick side. It will be a tough test and we will have to play well to progress.'

I'll try and get a match report by someone who went, I was meant to be going down myself but circumstances dictated otherwise.

And the Villa Ladies are also marking on, as Meyouldy told us in the forum (Click Here) :

Following the ladies impressive win against WBA on Sunday they have been drawn against the in form top of the league side Lincoln City Ladies FC on 6th January 2008 1pm kick at Coles Lane, all support would be most welcome.

Three resounding cheers for our Young Lions. Impressive result following what was, I was informed today, a very interesting encounter, with good entertaining football from both sides.
