1957 v 2007 A Game of 2 Eras. BBC 4 Thursday 9.00

Just thought it was worth bringing this programme to everyone's attention. I don't know whether it will be any good , but it will be certainly be a very rare opportunity, and hopefully an interesting comparison.

It is 'Digital Choice' in the Times listings which states that 'The BBC tries to answer the kind of question that keeps landlords of Pubs near football grounds in business: Just who was better - the honest hard ball cloggers who ducked out the 1957 FA Cup final, or the pampered but silky skilled stars who contested this year's. It uses the latest technology to assess footage of both games, and interviews players, including analysis from Graham Taylor.'

I would only add that I hope we can analyse a Villa win in the modern era in 2008, starting with a repeat of the 1957 cup final score on Jan 5th!

Great spot, nice to see a Villa Supporter who reads the Times. Finished the crossword today? Neither have I.

WTF is going on. As I am reading this article Nige is winning the MOTM versus Pompey. Only saw the game on Sky but this has to be a joke. Am I mistakenly reading the MOTM for the game on the Vital Portsmouth site. He certainly set up the 3rd goal for them.

Should be a very interesting programme, offering plenty of food for thought. Shall definitely check it out. Thanks.
