Big John Carew Man Of Match

Vital Villa asked for your player of the match against Arsenal.

Step forward Big John Carew with 63% of the votes. I believe that is the first time - and hopefully not the last - that he has won this vote! At last he is looking the part!

The rest:

Ashley Young (17%)
Scott Carson (6%)
Martin Laursen (3%)
Shaun Maloney (2%)
Gareth Barry (2%)
Patrik Berger (1%)
Wilfred Bouma (1%)
Craig Gardner (1%)
Stiliyan Petrov (1%)
Olof Mellberg (1%)
Zat Knight (1%)
Gabby Agbonlahor (1%)

Our latest poll is asking for the Villa player of November.

player of Nov has to be Gabby for me.
The Fear
Recognition at last from the VP faithfull for Big JC. Finally his talents appear to be being realised and appreciated by the supporters. Once again, he proved a handful for the opposing defenders, and I'm pleased to see his efforts are being rewarded with plaudits from the supporters, as opposed to just from his team-mates and the experts.

It just had to be him, he gave thier deffence a torid time and held that ball well !! just a shame that he and no onelse was able to slot one awat in the second half ...... Oh the woe :p
Mutt_Man
player of November has to be no other than Gabby but I do think Laursen has been our most consistent performer all season and I have barely seen him put a foot wrong this season plus I can't stop watching that out of this world tackle against didier drogba. world class.

Great game for Carew! Unfortunatly for us, Arsenal won (PS. Liverpool fan)
Bosko-Macedonia
Cant argue with the Carew grabbing MOTM vs the Arse although I also thought Barry was outstanding in the 2nd half.
DeanoVilla
Thought Big JC certainly offered us shades of Mr Peter Withe, and I cant provide better praise than that. More of the same now please Big JC. Now if we could only find ourselves another Gary Shaw, things would really be hopping.
