Oh well, if we beat them we will probably go on to win it. To win anything we will, at some point, have to beat the top teams so why not in the 1st round proper and get it out of the way. That said, if we do win and then get Arsenal in the next round I will not be a happy bunny.

We would have played them one more time as well because even when Man U werent in the FA Cup (because of the world club championship) we got drawn aginst the side who replaced them as a wildcard (darlington). WFT

Looks easy enough draw to me. Wonder who we'll get in the 4th round?

Didn't we also play Utd in the early 90's in the FA Cup (5th rd i think). We were wearing that yellow kit and i think lost 1-0, but im not certain!

I can't believe our luck, 63 teams to draw from and we get feckin Man U AGAIN. Only consolation is its a home draw, so come on villa lets finally get one over the Mancs!!

It's sod's law isn't it. Looking on the brightside - agree with VOTN that it's probably not a bad thing to draw them early. If we do get knocked out, at least we will be able to concentrate on the league - that has to still be our best shot of making it into Europe, and that's the big prize this season.....not necessarily a trophy.

Well if you are going to win the Cup you might as well start as you mean to go on!

I wonder if any Manc fans are saying "Oh no!!!! Not Villa again!"? Let's just get a grip, if we play to our potential we can win and if we can't raise our game then we don't deserve to concider ourselves contenders for the competition. We play and we either win or loose but some of you seem top think that we have already lost. I for one believe that (dependent on injuries and the like) we can go into this game with a view to winning it, if not, what is the point in even turning up and if we can't imagine winning this game how can we ever expect to get to the final and win?

I feel a bit sorry for Man U. Yet again they'll have to pull off a giant killing act to get their hands on the trophy.

It's a conspiracy I tell you. I know I should've kept my mouth shut last night. I suspect that we will keep being drawn against them until we beat them. So now it's time to do so, and then we'll get Leicester in the 4th round...

Lets face it, short of Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal, we would also make the list of teams that Man Utd would rather avoid until later on, far tougher test than so many in the draw. The odds are against us but lets not write ourselves off just yet! I've already made up my mind we are winning this one, then again, I'm a prize plonker!!!

I'd love it if we beat those glory hunting battards. Lets hope for a bit of luck and a ref who doesn't get the horn in sending our players off!

What’s the fuss about, we will beat Man U and then whoever else, on route to wining the FA cup. The only problem is giving up the UEFA cup place we will get for wining the competition. Obviously we will do this because we will have to honor our commitments in the champion’s league after we finish TOP 4 - Absolutely NO pressure what so ever

What are the chances ay? More chance of winning the lottery than drawing the same team so often in the FA Cup!

Deanovilla - get the FA to do the lottery, then they can afford a really great manager and leave M'on here. Statistics say the more time we play them, the sooner we will win, so why not in January? After Saturday, these must be an excellent chance.

Gutted! We need a seeding system to stop prem teams meeting so early and to give the lower teams like the mighty Chasetown a chance of playing a top team. gota be a fix! i might get me grey track suit trousers out one more time!

villian82 - Wasn't it Liverpool we played when we wore that yellow kit? Pretty sure it was. I bought that horrible thing. Not as bad as the black/red/green striped away one from 1994/95 (I think). It was while wearing that I got called a "cockney *****" by some 11 year old kid in Doncaster when on my way to watch the mighty Scarborough play Doncaster (Scarborough beat them 4-0 - Get in!!!)

Let's sell out Villa Park, get behind the lads and give it a right good go. We are a better side now than the one they beat a few weeks back. We are probably a better side BECAUSE of the way they beat us a few weeks back. MON is a winner and he is starting to instill that in the side, let's take a leaf out of his book and really go for it.

Why isn't the draw seeded? Surely some of the smaller sides would love to play us and ManU - what a pay day for them! Never understood why we allowed Prem vs Prem matches in the 3rd round.

We beat 'em fifty years ago at Wemberlee in the Final, now here we are, fifty years older and wiser, and about to beat them at the offset of the competition. Some things never change.
