Oh well, if we beat them we will probably go on to win it. To win anything we will, at some point, have to beat the top teams so why not in the 1st round proper and get it out of the way. That said, if we do win and then get Arsenal in the next round I will not be a happy bunny.

We would have played them one more time as well because even when Man U werent in the FA Cup (because of the world club championship) we got drawn aginst the side who replaced them as a wildcard (darlington). WFT

Looks easy enough draw to me. Wonder who we'll get in the 4th round?

Didn't we also play Utd in the early 90's in the FA Cup (5th rd i think). We were wearing that yellow kit and i think lost 1-0, but im not certain!

I can't believe our luck, 63 teams to draw from and we get feckin Man U AGAIN. Only consolation is its a home draw, so come on villa lets finally get one over the Mancs!!

It's sod's law isn't it. Looking on the brightside - agree with VOTN that it's probably not a bad thing to draw them early. If we do get knocked out, at least we will be able to concentrate on the league - that has to still be our best shot of making it into Europe, and that's the big prize this season.....not necessarily a trophy.

Well if you are going to win the Cup you might as well start as you mean to go on!

I wonder if any Manc fans are saying "Oh no!!!! Not Villa again!"? Let's just get a grip, if we play to our potential we can win and if we can't raise our game then we don't deserve to concider ourselves contenders for the competition. We play and we either win or loose but some of you seem top think that we have already lost. I for one believe that (dependent on injuries and the like) we can go into this game with a view to winning it, if not, what is the point in even turning up and if we can't imagine winning this game how can we ever expect to get to the final and win?
