I took the Mrs last week and it was really good. Food was nice, beer wasn't too expensive and great surroundings. I'll definitley go again.

I went about two months ago for aquiet pint and some lunch with the missus. She loved it, I was almost wetting myself. For the price we paid for the food was akin to a wetherspoons meal only much much much better in quality. The surroundings are just unbelievable. In fact one of the staff very kindly gave me a tour upstairs, pointing out the rooms the squaddies slept in during the 2nd world war. I've heard the obvious complaints that its clinical in there, but I'd argue that it needs a chance to build its own memories, something it can only do over time. A few more days like the Blues game shown live and it will soon have its own identity in our minds. The other thing that is important to note is the feeling of quality of everything. The banisters feel substantial and weighty, the flooring has a real clunking sound when walked over. In summary a fantastic project that really deserves our support.

Took the family there twice now. Excellent food reasonably priced. Well worth the visit, would recommend it to all. Decent pint too.

On the down side though, know three guys who 'enjoyed' lunch there, and weren't overly keen. They said food wasn't particularly good.
