Randy - MON Is Best Manager Around

Randy - MON Is Best Manager Around

Randy Lerner has been talking to the press and says he hopes to keep Martin O'Neill at Villa saying he can 'accomplish anything he wants' whilst at Villa and that he doesn't need to move on to fulfil his dreams.

Some reports claim that the FA will sack Steven McClaren and approach MON even if England qualify for the Euro Championship on Wednesday but Randy is hoping that MON will want to remain a Villan.

Randy said: 'He is special. We have the best manager around, I do believe that. But as Martin settles into this over the years, I think he can accomplish anything he wants to here. And, my God, I do mean 'here'. I don't think the Martin O'Neill's of the world are ever available. Ever. Somehow the fates have to conspire. The worst thing in the world would be to set out and try to get a Martin O'Neill, because you would never get him.'

He also says they get on very well with a 'comfortable relationship'. Adding he isn't all football either, 'He is a serious guy, he is a serious family man, he is a well-liked guy. He has got friends all over the world.'

He also says he gives the manager the space needed to manage, adding he doesn't feel it is his place to be phoning MON all the time.

With this sort of backing, would MON really want the England job? Maybe if he was English it would be a major tempter, but is the England job that glamorous a job these days? All managers seem to get is a total slating in the press!!

I want to see some Signings in Jan, starting with a RB and get Mellberg and Laursen on an extended contract, Mellberg and Laursen in the middle is the way to go for the next couple of years with someone like Hoyte on the right and Riise/Bouma on the left. We also need a striker, Anelka maybe. Atm i rate MON highly apart from in the transfer market.

Chalky, if you were a player would respect more a manager who as a player won, a domestic cup, a league title, two European cups, and captained his country to a world cup final , or a manager who hadn't?.....you M U P P E T

Chalky if we win our game in hand we will be top six and already played everyone above us bar the north London team that you are always crawling around in the shadows of. Ramos looks good but he can't come on the pitch and defend for you. Ashley Young would rather play for MON than get paid double down south, still bitter?
