A Message To The Villa For Sunday

A Message To The Villa For Sunday

Well here we are again, another derby has come around.

At St Andrews on remembrance Sunday.

Since 2002 when Blues came up, us Villa fans have suffered and put up with plenty of abuse that has come our way after our defeats and blunders. Those matches were awful, hurt every single Aston Villa supporter.

The games in 2006 where we won both did a little bit of justice, but our revenge is not complete yet.

We are the top dogs in the Midlands and always have been. With the derby match looming all I can think about is our awful games against them in years gone by. When our team has not turned up, where we have been awful year after year under Graham Taylor and David O'Leary when it seemed that it was just another game for them. Those nights were some of the worst in Villa's proud history.

All Villa fans around Birmingham and the U.K felt humiliated and disgusted with those results and performances from our team only a few years ago. It wasn't WBA or Wolves we lost to, it was our closest rivals, it really did hurt.

I hate derby games, if we could I would not play the blues at all. The tension that builds up I hate, the pressure etc.

Blues fans have only tasted it twice in the last 5 years. We have tasted that nasty defeat and humiliation 5 times in that period and only celebrated it twice.

Its time the tables turned on the Blues.

This weekend, we all want a gutsy display from our players. We want to turn up and want the win so badly. Our players have to be up for it from the moment we kick off right through until the end. We have a better squad on paper than the Blues and we can win this weekend and humiliate Blues and their board of directors.

Come on Villa, make it happen this weekend. Show the Villa faithful and the Premiership that we are up for it. Lets go out and get a win that our fans would be proud off. Lets humiliate them and take the mick out of the Bluenoses on Monday morning.

Up the Villa.

I've made my comments on the forum so I wont repeat myself here, save for complimenting my good friend randy.stand for writing an upbeat, passionate article, which we all no doubt agree 100% with. Well said randy.stand.

I reckon Ashley Young will stamp his class all over this game. Too hot to handle.
