O'Halloran Extends Villa Contract

Villa have announced that 19-year-old defender Stephen O'Halloran has signed a new contract at Villa today.

The deal for the Republic of Ireland defender will see him tied to the club until the summer of 2009.

Good. One down, Olof, Martin and Luke to follow suit I presume? O'Halloran is a decent prospect. The new deal will take pressure off of him, and allow him time to progress and develop. He's obviously still very much learning his trade, but it will no doubt be a huge boost to him to know that the club has confidence in him.

glensider... I remember MON saying during the summer transfer window that getting Olof, Laursen and Moore on new contracts was one of his top priorities and just like his transfer dealings it never happened.
