What Player Did You Want Back?

What Player Did You Want Back?

Vital Villa, in a poll suggested by Thegreatdando, asked which player do you wish had been kept at Villa.

The majority, with 40%, said Juan Pablo Angel who packed his bags for the US of A and is going great guns for the New York Red Bulls.

Next up with 18% was former Villa and Liverpool striker Milan Baros who was swapped for John Carew at Lyon. Must admit, I thought he was a rough diamond and was only caught offside all the time because the supply was so poor, now that is vastly improved with Ashley Young and Gareth Barry getting the ball forward, I think he'd have had a field day!

14% said they didn't wish any of the players allowed to leave were still Villans.

That left;

Steven Davis (13%) who moved to Fulham.
Liam Ridgewell (6%) who moved to what's their names.
Lee Hendrie (4%) now at Sheffied United
Aaron Hughes (2%) now at Fulham.
Gavin McCann (2%) Bolton
Jlloyd Samuel (1%) Bolton

Our latest poll asks what you think the result v Bolton would be this weekend and I think next week, we'll go for the half term report on the manager suggested by eltoro

If you have a poll you want asked, feel free to submit via the 'suggest a poll' link on the right hand side.

It is a real shame we didnt make any money on JPA really. £9.5million, 5 seasons and no money back. I was lucky enough to meet JPA, cracking bloke really nice loves the fans more than I has ever known a player too. Thats what I miss.

I'd have JPA instead of Scarewood in the squad every day of the week.

Cant believe that JPA wouldn't have an important role to play in this current squad, and certainly be more effective in front of goal than Luke has been so far. Having said that, you cant go back, nor should you.

One great season, there was even talks of Arsen Wenger wanting him. Luke will come good but Villa still need a man to stick the ball in the net 20 times in a season to get Villa to where we need to be.

JPA will live long and fond in our memories. Sorely missed, i loved his goal celebrations, he just used to let all of his emotion out, showed how much goals and villa meant to him. I would love to see him do a walk around VP at half time one day just to say bye to us properly. COME ON GENERAL SORT IT OUT!

One good season out of 6 is hardly the making of a "legend". Luke Moore will come good??? you must be watching a completly different player to me, he is a lazy, arrogant, overrated **** the sooner he is out the team the better.
