Who Should Still Be A Villa Player?

Is there a player you wish we'd not sold in the last year?

That is the question of our latest poll put forward by Thegreatdando.

I usually put up a man of the match vote but didn't think, having been tonked 4-1 by United, that it would be appropriate this weekend.

So, who if anyone, do you wish we'd kept at Villa Park?

Juan Pablo Angel

Liam Ridgewell
Steven Davis
Lee Hendrie
Aaron Hughes
Robert Olejnik
Stephen Henderson

For me I'd have kept Milan Baros, I thought he was potentially a great player and with the service we now provide via Ashley Young and Gareth Barry, he'd have had a field day. For the low fee I'd have also kept Juan Pablo Angel for this season, he also never got decent service and now that is sorted would have weighed in with more goals than Luke Moore or Marlon bloody Harewood!

Steven Davis I was never sure of but would have much preferred to see him get his chance at Villa or only leave on loan. Personally I fear he is or will prove to be better than Nigel Hokey-Cokey (and that wouldn't be good when you see the differences in prices!)

And why we allowed right-back Aaron Hughes to leave before getting a replacement will always remain beyond my comprehension!

Then there was Liam Ridgewell, now captain of 'them'. Was he any worse than Zat Knight or Curtis Davies?

Should have kept Angel,Baros,Ridge,and Hughes. Davis has some talent but I always felt that he got caught watching too often.

I'd vote all of them given a choice, you don't let players go when you are trying to build a squad UNTIl you have the replacement.

The Team of 82. All of them. Can't believe people are voting for Angel??????? One good season is all we got out of him,rest of the time he was well off the pace. People viewing through rose tinted spectacles – and don't judge him on MLS.

Only James Milner do I still wish from recent seasons would still be wearing the claret and blue. Otherwise they have all been a pretty average bunch, and fit into the category of not good enough, didn't want to play for us, and/or were 100% determined to move on. A fully committed to the cause Milan Baros would have also been a huge plus, but as we all know only too well, his heart lay elsewhere.
