Six 3pm Kick Offs In 20 Games Shame

Oh come off it. Are the people who run this great game of football that stupid?

Yet another Villa kick off time has been changed following the two I noticed earlier (and no, I can't list those two fixtures with this fixture because we could get done by The FA, seriously mad eh?). Click Here

This time the home game against Tottenham 'we are going to finish 4th this season' Hotspur on New Years day has been put back to 5.20pm.

FIVE BLOODY TWENTY ON NEW YEARS DAY? No consideration to the fans travelling from the smoke, no consideration for the players and no consideration for the tradition of the game.

Well thanks a bunch to the morons who decided on that time. Carry on lads, I'm sure eventually you'll get your wish and ruin this game of ours.

Villa to date have played 10 games this season. How many were at the traditional time of 3pm on a Saturday? Two. JUST TWO?

And out of our next 10 we have four 3pm kick offs. 6 games in 20. Pathetic.

This is just a swindle in my ever so humble opinion!

I do get my knickers in a twist but ffs, this is just driving fans mad. The constant changes make it impossible to plan anything!

I'm with you 100% Jonathan. Its a slap in the face to the regular supporters, and thats putting it both mildly, and politely. Sadly circumstances dictate, but that doesn't make this completely ridiculous situation any easier to take. The New Years day timing though is a new low, all to satisfy the armchair supporter who doesn't feel interested enough to get off his fat rear and actually attend a live game, but who would rather the true supporters be inconvenienced to allow him to satisfy his craving for televised football.

I agree with you Mr Fear. Just plain stupid. On the one hand we have Randy trying to work out how to improve the atmosphere and match day experience for fans and on the other the PL allowing TV companies to rule the game so that overpaid players can be even more overpaid at the inconvenience of fans. And to think that Brian Barwick wanted to meet Randy to impress on him the importance of football to the fans. These idiots need to wake up and smell whatever is closest to them. The administrators are killing the game.

JP you are so right. The way things are working out every season ticket hiolder will have to make sure that every weekend is completely clear of commitments before the first day of the season to get a fair return on their investement. Stuff the TV I say, let the real fans have their day at the stadium at the traditional time.

It is shameful but I'm sure most of you including me have sky sports and setanta so it is our fault sky and co. have got the fixtures changed and really all they're doing is meeting demand.

We wont have had a 3.00 p.m. away game kick off until we play Middlesbrough in late November. Ridiculous.
