'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Probing & Weighty Poll Results!

Here at Vital Villa we like to get stuck into the really important and weighty issues surrounding Villa Park and I think our last poll and the shock results prove we really aren't afraid at all to get down and dirty! :o)

We asked, in a poll suggested by imavillan,

'Following the change to Carlsberg from Carling, which do you prefer?'

Looks like Carling one but only by 2%.

The sort of result that I'm sure will send shockwaves throughout the world of football.

Full results:

Bring back the Carling (51%)
Keep the Carlsberg (49%)

Our latest poll, suggested by Aspinall, asks who was our worst player.

You seem to have missed out on a couple of corker 'dud' players, notably Ivo Stas (or whatever the hell his name was), Ni Lamptey (the next Pele), and of course Bosko Balaban. How somebody can vote for 'Cascarino, cascarino, cascarino in the air...' especially after his dubious Ireland caps is quite beyond me!

What about Ian Ormondroyd, Nigel Callaghan, Savo?
Jon.H
haha the list over the past 10 years could be endless! Lets hope its all a thing of the past.

Excellent article. These Polls are essential to almost everything, I wouldn't know whether to get out of bed in the morning without one.
Villan444
Only space for 14 though! Savo? Jon.H wash your mouth out!!!
The Fear
It might be the case villan444 that we'll need to poll the members as to whether you should get out of bed in the morning?! :o)
The Fear
No Barrett or Alan Wright!! They were 2 of the worse players ive seen down the Villa!
villian82
Barrett..!?! As in "You'll never beat Earl..." Was the chant sarcasm? I saw Savo play at the Nou Camp the other year. Barca beat Osasuna 3-0 (or was it 3-1?) and Osasuna were top off the league at the time. I'm convinced it was the ghost of Ian Ormondroyd that prevented Crouch getting a fair crack of the whip at VP. Bring back Crouchy I say.

Gary Penrice !!!! Played about 30 games scored once. My granny was better than him . Who was Carl Timer ? Tiler ............he was *****e.
HolteEnder43
Wasn't listed, but had to be Brendon Ormsby. As for the beer, give me a couple of each of what you guys are drinking.
glensider
Cascarino and Schmeichel
tarzan
i cant believe anyone would want to bring back nasty p1ss carling instead of export.
Stig
How is Bosko Balaban not on that list?
Pking
bit unfair to put Stan on that list. Although im afraid that if he dosent pick up his form he really will be one of the worst villa players, prove me wrong stan.
villabikes29
Schmeichel? He was at the end of his career but no way does he deserve to be there!? Don't think Bosko ever got a chance really so how would we know, we didn't see the bugger play! lol Can't believe anyone would say Alan Wright, to be fair the poll suggested included his name but I changed it.
The Fear
Carl Tiler was a good player - as long as he didn't have to get dirty! Wrighty gave his all for the club and not his fault that he was only 2,6". Oscar Arce anyone remember him? Only famous for the half back line he formed with Jimmy Brown on one side and Barrie Hole on the other.

I can't believe that from my initial comment to Mr Fear we ended up having a poll about the lager. I hate lager, I was complaining about the bitter which is currently naff. About the worst player, is it about who was poor on the pitch, or is it about those who had a bad attitude. Either way my vote would have gone for Nigel C*****han.
