'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Nice to see you, to see you NICE

Moustapha Salifou, who signed for Villa late on in the transfer window, is apparently due to join up with Villa after the international games after finally sorting out his work permit troubles!

The Togo international midfielder should now be clear to start training with the squad after red-tape blocked him from working in England.

Martin O'Neill told avfc.com

'Salifou will be here the week after next. He's got a big international game that had been postponed which is on the Friday night. I've been told by the agent that everything ship-shape, or will be by Wednesday. We'll see whether he'll be in a position to be in contention - it will be nice to see him.'

Nice to see you, to see you NICE. (You can't beat a bit of Brucie!)

It will be a real Brucie Bonus if we actually end up with a midfielder who knows where the back of the net is. I assume late in the transfer window means when we failed to sign John Arne Riise from Liverpool... Still may be available at the end of this season.

Just wait until this guy gets on the pitch..........he will light up the premiership mark my words, an absolutey powerful and very very skillfull talent, forgotten after the world cup and lost in Europe for a season. If he adapts to the prem, which he should easily, he could be the man to push Villa that extra mile. He is younger, fitter, stronger and twice as talented as Berger.........the sooner he gets settled in the better.......a legend in the making me thinks.

if he was that good astonmilan, then surely another team would have bought him up by now..... obviously i hope that he is as good as you say, but i have seen his youtube clip and they normally show players to be bettr then they are and in his he looks utter toss.....i know we cant judge him on one clip but I aint holdin my breathe

AstonMilan, If MONs scouts only came up with the likes of Harewood then I fail to see how Mustapha is going to be the new Ronaldinho although the optimism is welcome and a fresh change.

Is there any danger we could actually give this guy a chance before lynching him, or has a certain section of the crowd already got the rope ready? How about a really rousing welcome to Villa Park instead?

Got to admit I'd totally forgotten we'd even signed him. Could be interesting. Agree with the "rousing reception" idea. No boo's please morons.

I'm not holding my breath here. He was supposed to be here early last week, that was the latest update we heard. Presumably he'll be back off in January for the African Nations Cup? BobTheBuilder, you know by now, or indeed should do, that the mind-set of Villa supporters lately is to focus on the negative, pick up on another player we can target for the boo-boy treatment.

Another Emment Kapengwe and/or Freddie Mwila I wonder. Hopefully he proves to be a much better player. They were hyped up yet fell flat.
