Spurs v Villa Man Of Match Vote

Vital Villa asked for your vote for Villa v Spurs player of the match.

Martin Laursen, with 50%, once again won the crown. Seems strange for a defender to win motm when four goals were conceded but he did score a brace as well!

25% voted: 'After giving away 3 points, I've no idea!'

That left:

Agbonlahor (6%)
Carson (6%)
Gardner (3%)
Young (3%)
Moore (1%)
Hokey Cokey (1%)
Barry (1%)
Mellberg (1%)
Knight (1%)
Bouma (1%)
None of them stood out (1%)

Our latest poll asks for your player of the month.

Player of Sept = Barry for me.

At least Harewoods not in this poll to spoinl the result:: Martin Laursen IMHO has been the player we always wanted him to be.

Got to be Gabby as MOM at WHL, he was outstanding. Cant quite understand the huge Martin Laursen vote. Scored a brace yes, but overall thought he played well below his usual standard. Player of the month for September? Have to go with Martin for this one.

Our Fat Goalie Paul Robinson was your Man of the Match, he couldnt have gift wrapped those goals for you any better!
Gavaldinho
I'd have to go with Paul Robinson for our man of the match as well. He gave us the lead, and two bits of class from Gabby and Gardner made it comfortable. Martin Laursen looked good, but to concede four goals, he couldn't have been good enough. Player of September on the other hand HAS to go to Martin Laursen, he's been instrumental in all of our home wins. Just sheer class.

"25% voted: 'After giving away 3 points, I've no idea!'" - Uh? We gave 2 points away, dear sir! I don't know whether anyone noticed, but a B'ham Post column on the match referred to O'Neill being downcast at the *defeat*!

"4-1 and you fecked it up"!! LOL Muppets!

Robbo was definately your man of the match! Lol!

All the Spuds fans on here telling us our best player was their goalkeeper seems to indicate that they don't think much of their manager. After all, Jol has had plenty of money to spend and manages a 'big club' (allegedly), so why didn't he sign a decent keeper?
BobTheBuilder
For all the money they've spent, and the supposed talent they've brought in, Tottenham are a very poor side. Big names does not automatically mean that you've got yourselves a good team, as was evident on Monday evening, and has indeed been evident all season.

Player for September - Gabby for me, he's starting to show a bit of maturity and turn into the complete player. Barry has done ok, but not brilliant by his own high standards.
DeanoVilla
Laursen player of the month for me. Absolutely immense.

Despite letting in four goals, Scot Carson showed his worth last night, definitely looking as one transfer we should attempt to close with a permanent deal. Not sure what Rafa's asking price will be, nor if he'll even consider letting him leave, but he (Carson) is definitely a keeper worth paying over the odds for.
