Villa To Keep Future England No1?

Oh for goodness sake, looks like we've got yet ANOTHER happy player. Something is seriously wrong at Villa these days!

Scott Carson is gunning for the England Number One spot and feels his time at Villa could help him achieve his aims.

The on-loan Liverpool keeper has also hinted he might make his move permanent.

Wahey! (Copyright John Cresswell)

'I feel as sharp as I have ever been and a lot quicker and more agile. At Liverpool they have a more general system where everyone does the same weight training but here everyone has specific programmes. The Villa staff suggested getting my body fat down to get me sharper and I have been at that for a month now and feel really good.'

My doctor once told me to get my body fat down. He's dead now.

The Villa shot stopper continued: 'I am just here for the season initially but hopefully if I do well there will be a chance of me staying as when the contract was done with Liverpool it was a loan with a view to a permanent deal.'

That hasn't been mentioned before has it? Lovely jubbly bit of business if we can turn this into a permanent move, sorry Thomas, bye bye!!!

And on his England ambitions he says the move won't have hurt him explaining, 'There are a lot of young English players here and we are all waiting for a chance to show what we can do. For the time being I am just happy to be in the England squad building a bit of experience and seeing how the squad works. I have been there for a couple of years on and off which has helped me a lot and given me a lot of confidence and experience. Hopefully when I get my chance with England I will take it. I will wait as long as I can as it is every boy's dream to play for England.'

Scott also hopes the Villa faithful repeat the atmosphere created during the Chelsea game tomorrow as we take on the Toffees saying

'The atmosphere against Chelsea was unbelievable, to be honest. One of the best atmospheres I have known in my short career. I played Champions League with Liverpool, and they are unbelievable atmospheres. I played against Juventus- and that was some atmosphere. But in terms of Premier League atmosphere, it doesn't get much better than it did against Chelsea.'

Take a bow Villa faithful, the 12th man has returned!!

Being england number 1 is nothing to shout aBOUT THESE DAYS

Disagree EvertonMike. If the England custodian is a fully pledged Villan, rest assured we'll do enough shouting from the rooftops, for all of our friends, the enemy, at other premiership clubs to hear. That's definitely good news if there is in fact an option for us to complete a permanent deal come seasons end, and Scott must know what he's talking about. Now all he has to do is convince MON, his staff, and the supporters that he deserves to become one of us.

It now makes more sense the claimed 2 million loan fee, as it is probably a stake of the overall agreed payment.Potential England No1, and at only 22 years of age.Can he prove he is a premiership keeper. The goals against figure at the end of the season will confirm that. All in all could be a very clever bit of business, for one so young and a potential 15 playing years ahead of him...another talented Englishman at Aston Villa FC ..."Made in England"

I hope he plays a blinder for Villa and signs at the end of the season. Its another piece of the Jigsaw in the 5 year plan.

He has in front of him a fairly strong defence too, one that has given him a fair bit of protection in recent weeks. He's not the finished article by any means, but it bodes well for the club that yet another young player with huge potential seems very happy to become part of the claret and blue army.
