Marlon Harewood's Been Flying

Marlon Harewood has had some good news about the injury he picked up in training.

It appears he aggravated a problem at the back of his knee that he experienced last season with West Ham. Martin O'Neill was confident the rest during the summer would have helped it and explained,

'This is the first time he's complained about it here and as a precaution we sent him for scans. The first one showed a possibility of a stress fracture. But after further examinations and the benefits of other scans, we don't think at this minute that the situation is as bad as all that.'

'Marlon feels half decent and we are now treating it as a lot of bruising around that area. So, though we're still cautious, it might not be the length of time out we first feared. That would be great news.'

O'Neill also says the 28-year-old striker has been 'absolutely flying in training' adding they hope he won't be out of action for long. Does the flying then involve falling flat on the floor?! (Sorry, must find a way to turn this bitchy mode off!)

I know our Murph was up there yesterday, thought for a minute he had taken Marlon with him. Seriously though, I hope this injury isn't too bad, I have got a feeling we are going to need him sooner rather than later.

If he does want to come flying it costs me just £84/hr and I can take contributions of up to 1/3 I believe so...Anyway back to football, if he's impressing in training then he needs to get back ASAP to cover for John "i'm tired" Carew.

Yeah, definitely good news, i want to see the guy actually have a start instead of big John. I just read on SkySports Opta Stats that John Carew has had the most shots in the prem so far with 17. That highlights the amount of chances we're feeding the guy, and his total inability to finish them. Big John is also topping the chart for most fouls conceded. Good hussle JC...you're one step away from straight-up thuggery.

You want marleen to score you goals? Boy are you in trouble. I remember you lot taking the ***** about Bellamy well your probably not now.
SHOE HAMMER
We'll see how Bell-end pans out for you over the course of the season. If he hasn't managed to pick a fight with half his team mates and the manager by then, maybe we'll agree ... :o)

You're getting a little bit old and boring now SHOE HAMMER. Marlon's not had the best of starts to his VP career, what with the negative fan reaction, the continual bench warming, playing in the reserves with a bunch of kids, and now this set-back. Hopefully it is a minor one, and that he's back in action before too long. The guy deserves a break, and I for one hopes he gets it.

Glen, we don't want him to break anything. What are you thinking!!
Villan444
I honestly believe he'll do well for us.
Pking
well Shoe hammer what you gonna do when all those players with questionable temprement start kicking off. its a case of lighting the blue touch paper and stand well back. hahaha

Be somewhat ironic if when finally given the opportunity, Marlon turns out to be the goalscorer that we have been crying out for. We're certainly creating the chances, we just now need someone to be getting on the end of them. Step forward Marlon Harewood.
