Can Villa Push For Europe?

Vital Villa asked, in a poll suggested by *Holte*End*Star*,

Now the transfer window has closed are we in a position to push for Europe?

The majority, with 50%, said we might do but added that it all depended on injuries as we still have a small squad.

A further 22% said we are in a position to push BUT we still need to improve.

The other results were as follows:

No, we are a few players short (10%)
We'll be lucky to be top half (9%)
Yes, no problem! (8%)
No, not improved enough (1%)

Our latest poll asks who should start alongside Martin Laursen in the centre of defence v Manchester City.

Zat has not only done nothing wrong, he got a goal, he helped to keep a clean sheet and he is match fit. There is no way Curtis should start.

I'd go Zat but then again, only one man's choice matters, MON's!

Imagine that......38 clean league sheets a season !!

We've got to push for Europe, give it all we've got. Whether or not we're capable of clinching a top six placing remains to be seen, but there's little doubt that we're better equipped than we have been for many a long day. As for Sunday at The COM Stadium, Zat surely has to start alongside Martin, although isn't it nice to be spoiled for choice?

2 of the previous 3 managers achieved 6th A good target methinks to justify some of the comments made

Consistency is obviously a very important part of the mix, something we've really lacked throughout recent seasons. Without it, a top six place is out of our reach.
