Witton Lane Station Closed Sunday

Witton Lane Station Closed Sunday

News from the official site on travel to Villa on Sunday.

Villa fans are being advised that Witton station is closed for Chelsea game on Sunday, 2nd September.

Essential engineering work being carried out by Network Rail in Birmingham means no trains will call at Witton, so supporters should use trains to and from Aston instead.

Fans and other passengers are advised to allow more time for their journeys and to check their journey arrangements online at www.centraltrains.co.uk or by phone from National Rail Enquiries: 08457 48 49 50.

Great timing by National Rail, wait for a match day and then close the station!

Typical. Why time this work around a home game? Doesn't effect me, but there's many who it will. Just a total lack of planning.
