Where Will Villa Finish?

Mark Lawrenson has reviewed the season and predicts top ten for Villa saying 'possibly a Uefa Cup spot'.

Lawro told the BBC site: 'Villa had a good start, an iffy middle and a decent finish to last season and boss Martin O'Neill will be looking for them to progress this year in his second term in charge. I would not be surprised to hear of O'Neill signing a couple more players before the transfer deadline at the end of August.' And points at John Carew as our key man.

So, our latest poll asks, ignoring the transfer situation as we don't know who is coming if anyone, where do you think we'll finish this season?

If we do get more signings, I'll repeat the poll!

Without signings, it all depends on injuries. A few key injuries and it is mid table. With a couple of decent signings and not many injuries, we could push for a Uefa place I'd think?
The Fear
th Number 8 is playing a big part in my head so I'll say we will finish 8th
Christo
oh no lawro made a prediction. thats the kiss of death. why cant he keep his predictions to himself... or even better predict on smallheath.
gappy65
I think 8th is a fair assessment of the club at the moment
LITTLE 77
i agree with you little77 about 8th, sounds good to me. we have to grow as a side.
gappy65
yea we will finish 8th or something anyway the number 8 will play a part in Villa's season it could be 8th place/8 wins/8 signings/number 8 shirt
Christo
I would say around 8-10th myself, but with a few more players we might be able to push for the eufa spaces
VillaBob
I reckon UEFA, we currently have a UEFA quality squad and i dont think MON will bring in anyone worse than we already have.
Makai
(we currently have a UEFA quality squad when fully fit!)
Makai
Makai, sorry bud dont agree, cant see us in euro positions
LITTLE 77
After the sheff utd game could not wait to see the start of this season. This is still the case, I can see us doing quite well. It was only saturday when we destroyed inter. There are so many reasons why we should do well and not many why we wont. Top 6 no doubt.

Lawro thinks Small Heath will stay up! He loves us, doesn't he? We'll be 7-10th unless we buy what we are linked with.
Madirish
Psychic Christo? As things stand, with the current squad we have, I'll say we'll finish around 10th if we stay relatively injury free, and suspensions are kept to an absolute minimum.
glensider
Squad aint that bad we do have a few not so good players but am sure harewood will keep out the way and not be on the pitch
Christo
Teletext have predicted us to finish 8th. I'd be happy with top 10 myself, top 12 if he doesnt bring in more players by end of August.
DeanoVilla
Match magazine says 11th
Christo
