Jumper Jumper No Longer At Villa

Aston Villa have announced a stunning blow to Villa fans in the news that midfielder Jumper Jumper has been allowed to leave Villa Park.

Eric Djemba-Djemba, who joined us under David O'Leary from Manchester United has had his contract cancelled by mutual agreement.

Manager Martin O'Neill told the official site: 'Eric has not had the best of times since he arrived here from Old Trafford a couple of years ago. This arrangement will give the player the chance to reignite his career and we wish him the best of luck in the future.'

The Djemba twins have been linked, probably by his agent, to all sorts of teams on the continent. Good luck Eric, hope you find a decent club, what happened at Villa can't have been the nicest of experiences, although I wish they'd take me on, pay me and not play me, that sort of job would suit me down to the ground!!!

Do anyone else think that he was a panic buy because O'Thingy was unable to bring anyone in in the window
Christo
I think he was probably a decent gamble. Not often ManU buy players that are complete tosh, but in this instance it seems to have been the case....
YatesyVillain
Fergie didn't play him and was willing to let him go for under 2mil so that should have been an indication of how poor he was. The only good thing about him was his public slating of DOL. Good riddance.

2 more out and still only 2 in. ManCiteh bought more in a morning than we can manage in two months..........

Djemba-Djemba! So bad they named him twice!

Nice to see we havent made a penny from yet another deal, how shrewd are villa in the transfer market?

Thing is YatesyVillain when ManU do buy complete tosh Fergie drops them like last nights curry. Our last manager thaught it was worth a gamble but we all know about his assessment qualities. Combine this with Jumbo Jumbos work ethic and the result was inevitable. Glad hes gone. Vacancy for Sneijder i dream.

Let's hope that becomes "how shrewd are villa in the transfer market?" shortshady. Don't forget the Twins were an Ellis/O'Leary production, bought because of fan pressure on HDE and (undoubtedly) HDE pressure on DOL to buy somebody - anybody. Now let's be grateful that, no matter how slow and tortuous it seems to us, and no matter how much fan pressure builds up, the new managerial team can bring in players who will actually do a job for us before leaving. In my opinion, they aren't doing too badly so far.

Erm. my first sentence should read "how shrewd WERE villa in the transfer market?" Sort of loses its point as I originally posted it ...
BobTheBuilder
surely this is the closest thing to getting sacked for being that bad???? a player having his contract cancelled?????
Stig
He took *****e and pushed it to whole new level.
mackaavfc
O well its not like we need the money
Christo
nobody wanted to pay for him, thats why we didn't receive a transfer fee. yes he is that bad.
The Usual Suspect
I think Torquay Utd are looking for a bench Warmer they might sign him
Christo
Is there a press conference this afternoon?

Be very interesting to see where our Eric turns up next. There's always another mug out there, so you can bet that he wont be homeless for too long.

McClaren (banging his hands on a table): But i wanna put him in the england squad I wanna I wanna I wanna
Christo
bit of a disappointment then losing him was it :-)
merlin
Its been like losing a brother I honestly dont know how we will survive without them..

Yet the Burnley fans really took to him. I thought that his attitude was always half the problem, but he seems to have approached his Turf Moor stint in the right frame of mind. Seems it all comes down to the fact that he's not a premiership quality player. SAF makes few errors of judgement, but Eric obviously was one.
