'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Stiliyan Petrov Going Nowhere

Stiliyan Petrov has also rubbished reports saying he isn't happy at Villa following his mega money summer move. The press, especially in Scotland, have been suggesting the Bulgarian midfielder hasn't settled in Birmingham and is looking for a return to Celtic.

The 27-year old, who has been out with a both hamstring and more recently back injuries in recent weeks, said: 'That's not true. It is total nonsense. To be honest I don't know where they came from. Celtic will always be close to my heart, but I won't go back. I'm here and I will try to establish my name and play well for Aston Villa.'

Interesting comments from Vital's Celtic editor who said on his site, Vital Celtic, 'At least it is all over now. Well, until he starts whinging again - and anyone who saw him during the end of his time at Parkhead knows that is all but certain to happen....Enjoy him, Villa fans, enjoy...'

o so BITTER yet again that editor is,he talks absolute bollox constantly about petrov/villa.its just because we took their best player off them and most of them have yet to get it over it. they were the ones fuelling the rumour/lie with the press.COMPLETE BITTERNESS!

Very good news to read the comments of Petrov, but you can guarantee that the Celtic fans will still continue to believe that he craves a move back to Glasgow. He's moved on, they need to too. But they wont.

Oh Good he stud up to his wife

Enjoy him, Villa fans, enjoy........ we will but I feel he will be a better player when better players are around him and he has the confidence to play as he can, every player has troubles when moving to a club where the wife is unhappy, I hope he settles down soon.

Interviewed on Villa world, looked relaxed and smilling, claims to be over his niggling (wife?) injury, lets see what the man can do. As for Celtic it must be hard to watch the best players go to a bigger team, something we have personal experience of.
steff_the_villan
Agree with col8. He'll be fine with more quality around him. In fact all of our 'better' players will benefit from the addition of more quality into the side. Over to you MON.

We went overboard about Stan on the evidence of his 90 minute debut, now we seem to have so readily dismissed him and his undoubted ability.
