Jlloyd Samuel Flattered By Links

Jlloyd Samuel says he doesn't know of any interest following reports linking him to a Bolton Wanderers move but says the reports are 'flattering.'

The left-back, who is out of contract in the summer, was thought to be a target for Sam Allardyce and his dirty dirty Bolton team (yeah, I've still not forgiven them for kicking lumps out of the Villa players instead of the ball!)

'I don't know of any interest in me personally, but to see my name linked with such clubs is flattering.' Adding, in the Birmingham Mail: 'It's always nice to be well thought of, but I am still an Aston Villa player. We will just wait and see what the future brings. Will I be at Villa beyond January? I think I will be, but you never know in football.'

'We will see what happens. Then it is up to me to decide what is best for me. It is a situation that I will have to look at, if things are not going right.'

Any thoughts of a move will be off now though as Jlloyd Samuel limped off after 24 minutes in the reserves game against Chelsea last night and is undergoing a scan today.

Martin O'Neill said: "He's gone for a scan. He hurt his knee and we don't know yet what he's done. We'll wait and see what the scan says."

not getting much luck injury wise is he? Looks like his Villa days could be numbered as well, shame, when fit he looked quality a few seasons back.
The Fear
He probably tripped over his ego and twisted his knee when he fell awkwardly on his wallet

Bolton are a disgusting dirty dirty team. They are the only premiership side i really hate. They'll cheat for every single yard. I was worried back when we were linked to Allardyce , I think it would have signalled an end to my love for the Villa. Well no, I'd still love them, just utterly detest an Ellis/Big Sam combo. I'm yet to find a prem fan, outside of the Bolton fanbase who remotely likes them. Anyway sorry for the lack of relevance, rant over =)

What kind of a name is Jlloyd??? Hope he goes, we got Lwilfred Bouma anyway.

just go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He was such a good prospect a couple of seasons ago, then Carlton Cole joined the club they both started wearing little diamond earings in both ears then they both went very average. Think I would have to agree with Hoss on this one. 'Hoss!' we agree, we agree ;-)

He'll be a very good signing for someone come seasons end. The ability is there, its the confidence that's lacking. A change of scenery will do him the world of good.

Typical J.Lloyd - nothing on the pitch yet yabbing onto his media buddies,yawn....no-one will come in for him until he`s free transfer but i thank him for the Blues performance last year.

Wonders will never cease... I must think of a new ploy! :-)

Had more links with Goodhope Hospital I think. Fit he is a good player I have no doubt, but currently he would not get a run in the Sutton Park 10k.

As things stand JLloyd's days at Villa Park really are looking numbered. Time is running out for him to impress MON and earn himself a new deal. Hope this latest injury isn't too long term, but at this stage of the campaign, and with his current deal about to expire in June, in all honesty it probably doesn't make too much difference.
