Villa's new striker John Carew has been given the No10 shirt vacated by Milan Baros. Ashley Young has the No17 shirt vacated by Peter Whittingham.

Young and Carew will take part in a press conference this afternoon and Martin O'Neill has told the official site both players give him fresh options as he looks to climb the table. 4% don't care as long as the fans make their point. That left 3% thinking the booing would boost the moral of the players.

Just about everyone one of the stories this week have been positive, disregarding that prat Baros!! How times have changed. I wonder what the Villa Times of this time last year looked like?

this time last year I was doing my best not to vent my spleen over DOL and to be positive about the fact we were going nowhere but down no doubt! The fish was still cool then though! lol

Don't feel too bad Christo, I sat for ages last night waiting for it to be repeated on SSN and when it finally was....my daughter rang!!!! I can honestly say though that I saw it, didn't hear a bleedin word of it, but I saw it!!
