Brilliant to see the Villa getting the ball fwd so quickly, those were the days when everytime "hippy" went banging fwd there was a chance on the end of it. Christo top bananna.

The good old days of 42 league games, plus the cups & Europe and would run them selves into the ground. A squad of 15 players week in week out, pitches like mud baths, pie & chips, fags and beer as a diet yet still more entertaining than some of the crap we get now.Players today have not got a clue.

Awesome. It really does my head in that I don't remember any of this. I was 7 years old. I think I first started saying I supported Villa when I was about 8 ish and seriously following them a few years later (my first game being when I was about 15). I've always thought I'd missed my only chance in my lifetime to see Villa win major honours. However the last 6 months have given me such optimism that I believe I will see scenes like this within in my lifetime. The future is Claret and Blue.

It was a great night, indeed a great couple of days spent in the port of Rotterdam. Special memories indeed, including the longest final twenty-five minutes of a game that I have ever experienced.
