Petrov Not Looking To Leave Villa

Great, we asked for it, we got it, a statement from Stiliyan Petrov.

27-year-old former Celtic midfielder has said he is not looking to leave Aston Villa.

He said, on my favourite radio station, Darik Radio (!)

'I am very happy in Birmingham. I have no intention of moving.'

So there you have it.

One of those statements when your not sure if you should be happy or sad...

Oh well, a door closes on one of the more enjoyable and amusing stories of the transfer window. Or does it...?
Jamie1967
Yes, I think we should take that at face value, it would be very stupid of him to move after half a season and as he is close with MON blah blah blah (sorry I was boring myself!)

How could you NOT love Brum? Jeez.

I'm still not convinced. Maybe Stiliyan's happy in Brum and not looking to leave...but what about Mrs Petrov ? I think we should be told.

I bet Mrs Petrov dont complain when shes out spending Mr Petrovs signing on fee,,,,,,,,,, FFS Mrs Go up north on your own and let your old man earn the money so you can retire in 5 years.

Now this is good news. I'm not one of the doubters. Petrov is class.

Petrov is class.. a lot of his critics forget he's been carrying an injury for weeks. Watch him on his return and eat your words..
The Usual Suspect
Is livin in brum really worse than Glasgow? Silly cow.

Well lemme see where would I prefer to live Sutton Coldfield or the Gorbals? Hmmm, tough one this.

I was starting to worry with all the negativity around this site, glad some Villa fans do realise what quality he is and how hard he works NB actually backing the squad is a lot more influential than booing and moaning constantly. Singing and going to games before commenting on players is also allowed. Rant been building up for a while now over.

Not knocking Glasgow, because in truth I've only spent a couple of days there each time we've been up to Scotland. Nice city, but come on. It has absolutely nothing that Brum doesnt have many times over. If there is any truth in the rumour that Mrs P is finding it difficult to settle down here, I would suggest that its only because she's in new surroundings, and all she needs is time to adapt.
